Run the Fix Script

 

Like any upgrade on the ServiceNow Platform, it is important to resolve Skipped Changes to ensure the integrity of the upgrade.


We have simplified the resolution of Skipped Changes by capturing all the necessary steps in a Fix Script, included with the Discovery Admin App, to eliminate the need to manually resolve the Skipped Changes.


Follow the steps below to complete the Post Upgrade Steps for Discovery Admin on your ServiceNow Instance: (with Platform 'admin' role)


  • Navigate to: System Definition > Fix Scripts

  • Search for the Fix Script = DA: Post Upgrade Cleanup

  • Open the Record and Click on the ‘Run Fix Script’ UI Action

  • Click on ‘Proceed’


The Fix Script Completes execution in less than a couple of seconds and subsequent Post Upgrade Steps are executed within a couple minutes.


 

NOTE

 

To ensure the integrity of the Discovery Admin upgrade, Discovery Admin will auto-cancel the Troubleshooting UNTIL the Skipped Records are not reviewed and resolved.


If the Troubleshooting is initiated when Skipped Records are present, the Troubleshooting auto-cancels, and we get the following error on the Troubleshooting Form:

"HINT: Troubleshooting Canceled due to Skipped Changes Not Reviewed. Please reach out to your Discovery Admin point-of-contact."


Run the Fix Script by following the steps above to fix this Error.
